Eating in the store...bad?

Ya the sign has nothing to do with eating in stores before paying..... But is sure is a cool sign.

I just read where several stores around the country are throwing their customers into jail for eating food in the store before paying for it.   In the Presidents home land (no not in Africa) a couple lost their little girl because the mom (with child) ate a sammy and forgot to pay.   The store had her and the dad arrested and social services took the girl.   Man is the world that poor?   I have seen people eat chips as they wait to pay.   Iv'e seen people sample the grapes.   It doesn't seem like a capital crime.   Sure I guess there's the old saying about it adding up.    Still how bad does it add up to?    Millon or hundreds?   Is it worth losing customers over?   Do you start charging for air next?   The dust we all ate?   I ate a fly once in a Wally-Mart.....was it free?    I thought so.   No I didn't eat it on purpose.
